Ronja ja Birk ovat tämän listan platoniset Romea ja Julia – heidän isänsä vihaavat toisiaan, mutta lapset eivät anna sen haitata ystävyyttään, ainakaan kauaa. Kun he joutuvat valitsemaan perheidensä ikuisten riitojen tai toistensa välillä, he valitsevat toisensa. Onneksi Ronjan ja Birkin ystävyys lopulta johtaa myös rauhaan ryövärisukujen välillä, ja ystävykset saavat olla ystäviä ihan julkisestikin.

Ronia and Birk are the platonic Romeo and Juliet of this list – their fathers hate each other but the children don’t let that bother their friendship, at least not for long. When they have to choose between each other and the endless fighting between their families, they choose each other. Luckily, Ronia and Birk’s friendship eventually leads to peace between the Robber families and the two friends are allowed to be friends.
