A MONTH OF TRAVELLING – L
LOTHLÓRIEN (Taru sormusten herrasta – The Lord of the Rings)
“The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater. Some there are among us who sing that the Shadow will draw back, and peace shall come again…”
Lothlórien is one of the last living places of elves in Middle Earth, protected from the wrath of Sauron by the ring and powers of Lady Galadriel. Lórien is a magically beautiful forest, where alves live in houses built in trees and where time passes in weird ways. I’d really like to see those trees and houses built up there but beacause I’m not an elf, the welcome might be somewhat chilly. The elves of Lórien don’t really like tourists.
