LUKITTU PISTE AJASSA – FIXED POINT IN TIME (Doctor Who)

Ajassa matkustaessaan voi muuttaa menneisyyttä ja tulevaisuutta, miksei nykyisyyttäkin. Mutta on joitakin asioita, joiden on pakko tapahtua, jotta kaikki muu voisi olla olemassa. Näitä hetkiä sanotaan lukituiksi, eikä niitä voi muuttaa. Vaikka aikamatkustus on tietääkseni toistaiseksi fiktiota, tulee joskus mieleen kysymys ”Mitkä ovat minun elämäni lukitut hetket? Mitkä ovat ne asiat, joiden on ollut pakko tapahtua, jotta olen tässä ja nyt?” Ennen aikamatkustuksen keksimistä kysymys pysynee teoreettisena.

If you travel in time, you can change past and future, and why not present, too. But there ase some things that must happen for everything else to exist. These are called fixed points in time and they cannot be changed. Even though time travel is, as far as I know, still fiction, I sometimes wonder, ”What are the fixed points in my life? What are the things that must have happened so that I’m right here right now?” Until we actually invent time travel, I believe the question remains theoretical.
