KILPIKONNAT & TIKKU – THE TURTLES & SPLINTER (Teini-ikäiset mutanttininjakilpikonnat – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Kyllä te arvasitte, että tungen rakkaat kilpparipoikani tälle listalle, eikö vain? Mitä teet, kun olet viemärissä asuva mutatoitunut ninjarotta ja löydät neljä mutanttoitunutta kilpikonnanpoikasta? No tietysti adoptoit ne, nimeät renessanssitaiteilijoiden mukaan ja koulutat ninjoiksi. Kilpikonnat ja Tikku-rotta kohtelevat toisiaan kuin oppilaat ja opettaja, mutta myös kuin teinipojat ja vanha isäukko – veljesten välistä jatkuvaa torailua, naljailua ja ystävyyttä unohtamatta. Tähän kuvaan piirsin kilpikonnat pieninä iltasatuaikaan.
Surely you guessed that I’d have my beloved turtle boys on this list, right? What do you do when you are a mutated ninja rat living in the sewers and you find four mutated turtle babies? Well, of course you adopt them, name them after Renaissance artists and teach them ninjitsu. The turtles and Splinter the rat treat each other as students and a teacher but also as teenage sons and their old father – not forgetting the constant fighting, bickering and friendship between the brothers. In this picture I wanted to draw the turtles as toddlers waiting for their bed-time story.
